Kitchen Paint Color
I need to repaint my kitchen or my great room. I painted my kitchen and eat in area the same color and would like to keep it the same color. The house has an open floor plan so the colors have to flow. I just dont think that these two colors flow. I really like the yellow with my furniture and flooring so maybe I should change the great room color??? If I keep the kitchen color, I want to order rustic red panels. I would rather it feel cozy as opposed to "fresh"
Need suggestions please. TIA!
Living room - the opposite wall is a light beige which you can sort of see behind this wall.

Current color of kitchen

Re: Kitchen Paint Color
what color is the great room? Green?
I think the green and yellow flow fine. But if you are really looking to make the great room a different color you could always do a burnt orange color. It doesn't have to be really dark. It could be a light orange with brown undertones to keep it warm and not cool. And the rustic red would still flow with the yellow & orange colors.

Re: Kitchen Paint Color
Thanks Jenn!! The great room is called Desert Beige but it's really a light sage green.

Re: Kitchen Paint Color
Your welcome! If you are unsure of colors, if you are going to repaint the Great Room, then bring home paint chips and see how they look in the Dining room & with the floors. You want the new color to go with the colors you already have in your home. But I don't think you need to change the Great Room color. You can add the other colors you want in the DR and then see how the Great Room looks. Just an idea. GL!

Re: Kitchen Paint Color
Here are some inspiration pics that I hope will help you make a decision about painting or not. I get inspiration from different pieces of different pictures. So look at each one in pieces and if you like something in it, go with that for your inspiration.
this pic has the yellow, green & orange in one picture. You could add the orange/red to each room to bring each room into the other room. Hope that makes sense.
Hope these help.
