well we were our own contractors, so I can't help there, but what kind of advice are you looking for? We did our 1st level Den just recently (we are in a Hi-Ranch and some people think it's the basement). I would be happy to help in anyway I can. We did everything ourselves from floor to ceiling.

we just finished our basement, dh did most of the work, but we have someone who did the plumbing and spackling, they did a great job who i'd recommend..the spackler also does construction, we were going to use him, his quote was reasonable but dh just wanted to do it on his own as his project.

We are in the process of having ours finished now. It should be done within the next 2 weeks. When it is completed I will take pics. I like our contractor, very friendly and does a great job.

We just don't have the time or energy to take on a project that huge on our own - after redoing the bathroom ourselves, I swore, never again -
We have to hire someone.
For as much as it kills me to pay for labor, I just need it done in some sort of timely manner, and done the right way the 1st time by someone who knows what they're doing ..........
DH and I are going to end up paying someone to redo that bathroom again eventually ........such a waste of time and $$$ !!

southbay kitchens and baths in massapequa. they do everything. kitchens, baths, dormers, extensions, basements , etc. its my family and they do great work. have over 30 years experience.... 516-809-7434. tell them michelle sent u! good luck!
