My Home PSA of the Day....
Please make sure to have your boilers serviced! I know it costs money if you don't have a contract, but its IMPORTANT!
My neighbors house (from when I lived home) exploded in the middle of the blizzard last night. They've got nothing but the clothes on their back...
Soooooo please if you haven't had your boiler serviced this year, do it!

mine was inspected on friday; i am very new at this. if they inspected it, does that mean serviced???

They lived in Huntington. The house was in their family for 51 years 
Not sure what they're doing in the meantime..I think there were 6 people in the house and they're dispersed and staying with friends and family...
It was an oil heat house. I'm still confused as to the difference between a boiler and oiil burner? Are they the same thing?
Usually if you have a contract for oil it includes service. Its the COD people that generally don't have a contract and therefore service.
They do need things since they have nothing left. I will let you guys know if I hear where/what they need!

That's terrible.
How old was their boiler? Did they not have it serviced? Ours hasn't been serviced yet this year but it's coming up on the year right now so I'm looking around. (First year in our first house, never done this before!)
