Medical supply companies that have a contract....

with Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield....We finally got word that our insurance company will cover our son's formula. Now we have to find a medical supply company that deals with them. Apria does not have a contract with them. Does anyone have the same insurance company and have formula delivered? We have a few numbers to call tomorrow, but we were just wondering if anyone on here has them.

Apria DOES use them? When did they stop? Someone else on here has Empire and Apria just got them covered? ( are you sure you have EMPIRE bcbs and not another bluecross blueshild? If your companys headquarters is not in NY, it could be that you are covered through the blue cross blueshield of that state instead? )

Apria doesnt participate with my
insurance though and I just get my Elecare from CVS . I have to call them like a week before I run out to have them order more. ( sometimes they have it in though) .

We have had two people from Apria call us and tell us that they don't have a contract with our insurance for orals. We may just get it through CVS...

I have my formula delivered through Home Care Supplies (I have Empire as well). I'm not sure of the number...

The person you spoke with when you were setting up the prescription didn't give you a choice of suppliers?

We got no where with the insurance company. The pedi'd office did everything. Apria gave us some other places to contact. I will try calling them today...
