Re: coffee/caffiene
i've just read a few articles that say i should cut it totally. so that's what i'm to do. i know i'm going to miss it, but i'd rather not risk it. thanks for the info!!!

Re: coffee/caffiene
I have heard that a certain amount of ounces is fine each day I would have to look up the exact amount....its listed in Pregnancy week by week. I have tried not to have any coffee but broke down and had one small cup this week. I would say talk to your dr. and do what you are most comfortable with

See the videos on this site (lenox hill hospital dr presents her research on the news)
Newest research suggests more than 1 cup a day increases risk of miscarriage

Re: coffee/caffiene
During my 1st trimester I only had one cup of coffee a day. Now in the 2nd trimester I sometimes have two, or one & and ice tea. The most I think I have had is three total.

Re: coffee/caffiene
I cut down to one cup and tried to switch to Decaf and it made me sick that I want nothing to do with coffee right now.

Re: coffee/caffiene
Caffeine intake is fine in moderation. One or two cups a day should be fine.

Re: coffee/caffiene
up to 300mg of caffiene per day is fine. That is the equivalent of 2 cups of coffee.
I did it with DS#1 and with this one also and evrything is fine.

Re: coffee/caffiene
In terms of caffeine, my OB said the equivalent of 2 cups of coffee a day is perfectly fine.
