My mom just called me- she was sent home early from work because she is sick- bad upper respiratory infection, cold, cough, the works. She went to the doctor. He ran some tests.
She said she didn't want to worry me, but she had to tell me. (we are super close) the doctor thinks she had a silent heart attack at some point. Her EKG results were abnormal. He said it could have been recent or from a few years ago.
My dad had a heart attack last February and had 80% blockage in two arteries and had to have stents. He has not been the same since.
I wouldn't be able to deal with my mom going through this too. She alread has Diabetes, but she takes very good care of herself. My parents are only 55 years old.
Just makes me sad, I'm only 28. I don't feel ready to deal with these things.
