Homemmade cookie gifts baskets for teachers?

If you are a teacher, would you/do you eat homemade cookies from your students?

I am thinking about making cookie gift baskets for DS's nursery school teachers but I know some people are weird about eating things people make for them. I just dont want the cookies thrown in the garbage, KWIM?

I think it's such a nice idea, but when I mentioned to the director that I'll do something with food for the floaters is DS class she mentioned that b/c of teacher's allergies to just make sure the ingrediants were listed.

I don't usually eat them! I used to...but got violently ill after eating one of my students cookies! I found out later that their house was absolutely filthy! So, unless I really know them, I won't eat anything from them!

In all honesty I won't eat food from them that isn't packaged.

That's what I figured. I cross out that idea! I am the same way with food. I won't eat it unless I know where it is coming from.

Though the sentiment is much appreciated, I do not eat homemade items from my students.
