Moms who BF and DC's STTN.. I need help!
Since last week DD has been sleeping through the night.. first it was 9 till 4am and then back to sleep at 5 and sleeping till 8. This is amazing dont get me wrong, but could it be messing up my milk supply??
She slept from 10 last night till 7 this morning.. she'll be 11 weeks on Thursday!!! Im finding that when I wake up after not nursing for those long hours that Im not as engorged as I used to get.. still very full but not painful.
Should i be waking up in the middle of the night to pump?? I just get nervous that the long stretch at night is going to mess up my supply!! Help!!

I never got up to pump - DS slept through the night from about 8 weeks until about 12. The thing is, it will likely change (as will everything when it comes to these little guys!) If you're not making enough milk, your baby will want to feed more often and it will bring up your supply. I say just enjoy it, don't get up to pump unless you're really uncomfortable. Emptying your breasts will just cue them to make more.

DD is 4 months and has been STTN for over 2 months now... I never got up to pump in the middle of the night. Sometimes though if she got up randomly to eat at 4 or 5am and only ate from one side, i'd go pump the other side.
I didn't notice an issue with my supply until I went back to work and had to start pumping several times/day.

I've been getting up to pump once in the middle of the night. It's helping me expand my freezer stash now that I've returned back to work/school.

Nope, not at all....this is what's supposed to happen. Your bidy is figuring out that you don't need the milk during the night and in turn is not making it. It should not effect your daytime supply though - your body regulates the supply based upon the demand.
DD is almost 9 months old and I can sleep on my stomach now all night and am not at all engorged in the morning - haven't been for months - but I know there is still plenty in there for her. Hope this helps.
