So I can FINALLY post here again...
We are in contract on a(nother) house!
Some of you may remember that we sold our co-op and were purchasing a house which, six days before closing, the seller decided he was no longer going to sell to us. Oh yeah - and I was 9 mos pregnant and had an 18 month old.
We scrambled to find an apartment that we moved into 12 days before DS #2 was born so we've been here since early August (much to my dismay  ). Anyway, it's a pretty penny to break our lease but we kept getting the listings in case the perfect situation arose. Lo and behold, it did. We found a house we adore on a beautiful, quiet block. Smaller property than we originally wanted but we landed a much closer location for both of our jobs in a phenomenal SD.
So, we signed the contracts today, REA took the house off MLS and hopefully we'll be celebrating DS #1's 2nd birthday in the house in early February.
Looking forward to participating here again

Congratulations!!  We are on a similar timeline, DH and I will be hopefully going into contract this week and plan on moving in February!

Thanks I wanted to wait until we had the countersigned contracts and I was going to send Lily a classmates.com request from Reid  They'll go to the kindergarten center and then HS together - so weird!!
Did they tell you we're buying your parents' house? Colin will live in your room and Reid in Keryn's

This is great news!
The house we bought is smaller than we wanted too - but we love it. It's in a fantastic district, it's on 1/4 acre, the neighborhood is gorgeous, and I never thought I'd love being in a ranch but I do!
I hope you are able to close quickly and painlessly

Thanks We're cautiously excited. Once you get 6 days out and have someone pull the rug out from under you, you become a little jaded Once the keys are in hand and we're sleeping in the (tiny) bedrooms, I'll be super excited
