We were 26. We closed in July and got married in October. Didn't move into the house until the day after our wedding.

We bought a co-op when DH and I were engaged...I was 26, DH was 28...
We've sold that, and are currently saving for our first HOUSE...hopefully when I'm 32 and DH is 34/35

26 or 27 I would have been better off buying one when I was 22 with a lower down payment because we bought when the market was high.

We thought it was the best move ever to buy at that time in 2005. It seemed like everyone was buying and we just had to get into a place. Little did we know the market was about to tank.
