growing up, my family always had a real- but dh and I have a fake- its so much easier but I do miss that Christmas smell that only a real tree can give the house!

I've had real trees, but now we have a fake one. It's so much cheaper in the long run, so much easier to set up, we can leave it up much longer, much easier cleanup. It's also not a fire hazard.

It HAS to be real under my roof! LOL I grew up always having a real tree and not willing to give that up... I even told DH we're going to do it extra special this year and cut down our own since it's our first xmas in our new house.... He wanst thrilled

Our cat, who was just a few months old last xmas, would actually jump INTO the tree and just chill out on the branches....  It looked like xmas vacation where the squirrel is in the tree LOL Hopefully this year, he realizes hes too big to do that

We have a fake tree and our cat loves to chill on the tree skirt. I can only imagine how he would be with a real tree.

Daisy did this the 1st year we had her to. She would sleep inside it up in the middle She was only about 2lbs and 4months old so she could fit. These past 2years she has realized that she's not a kitten anymore and her 13lb body will NOT fit. Now she waits until the presents are under the tree and she smooshes them and sleeps on them...oh and pulls the bows off and runs around the house with them! It's hysterical, but annoying since wrapping is a huge job!
