Need Help - Hi-Ranch Utility Room

I hope someone has an idea or knows a plumber we can call.

On Wednesday, (thank god I was home), we had a small water problem from the furnance. No worries, it didn't get to our Family Room.Chat Icon But it could have and now we are wondering what we can do to put a drain in the cement slab. We are in Lindenhurst and the water table in the ground in high in our area. Is there any kind of drain we can put into the slabe and run out of the house? We want to finish this room over the winter and now we are worried the next time this might happen. There is a water heater, furnance and washing machine in this room, so now we are worried. Thank god this floor is a little lower that the Family Room floor right now, otherwise it would have gone right into the Family Room.

Any suggestions would be great. If you know of any plumber or anyone else that might do this kind of work to give us an quote that would be great too. Thanks. Chat Icon

Don't know of a plumber, but I would look into something like digging a small hole, so the water collects in one spot, then putting a sump pump in the hole, and running the hose somewhere away from the house.
