Does your toddler fall alseep on the couch?

If so, how do you get them to do it?! I can't get mine to stay in his bed for naptime (and I can't sit in there b/c DD is 9mos old and I can't leave her alone downstairs for any lengthly period of time). Once he is asleep he is in a deep sleep...I've already had him fall asleep in the car and transferred him to the couch and he stays asleep despite all the noise I make in the house. I've already tried setting him up on with his fav show, milk, blankie...and he won't fall asleep despite being obviously tired. Any suggestion on how to get him to fall asleep w/o taking him for a car ride...and while I'm caring for a 9mo old?! Thats a tough one right?! TIA!

Can you put DD to sleep first then work with DS?

My sister never saw the end of Annie - always fell alseep - best babysitter. I can't stay awake for House Hunters - never make it.

DS (21 mos) doesn't watch too much tv - at night to unwind he watches Bob the Builder or Thomas the Train - I get on the couch with my blanket and his blankey and we cuddle.

Maybe make it a game - play, eat lunch, then put the toys in for a nap - then he has to take a nap?


Does he sleep at night? What is that routine?

Ayla hasn't napped in her bed since July. When I know she is really tired (tired enough to fall asleep) I'll ask her what show she wants to watch. I'll set her up on the couch with her blanket and while watching her show she falls asleep. The couch is the only place she'll naps-even on weekends.
