Ladies on Bedrest
How understanding is your DH? I'm a little pi@@ed at mine tonight. He went out last night because he had tickets to Star Wars in Concert. That I understand. Then today he had plans to watch football at the bar with some friends that he hasn't seen in years, okay, fine. He told me he was only going to be gone a couple of hours and would probably be home around 4 (he left at 1). Then he calls me at 5 and mentions that he's going out to dinner with his buddies and is having a great time. I'm I justified to be really mad? I sit around the house all day staring at the same walls and playing on the computer. I'm bored out of my head and he's out drinking and having a grand old time. He works six days a week so I know that he needs to blow off some steam, but I feel like he's being really inconsiderate. I just got out of the hospital a couple of days ago, he could have blown off the stupid football game and did he really need to go out to dinner too? I feel like I'm going to break down.

Re: Ladies on Bedrest
If my dh did this to me I would seriously hurt him very badly bad enough you are stuck in bed but for him to call you and tell you what a great time he is having..oh that is just plain cruel

Re: Ladies on Bedrest
I dont blame you for being mad! I would be too!
I'm on semi bedrest kinda. I'm not working as of about a month now. While I'm home I do little things around the house to keep the place neat and cook quick dinners but I really need to rely on DH to do a lot. I'm home all day and cant wait for him to get home and I just think I dont have patience for him. He started smoking cigarettes again when I was in the hospital about a month ag, something we totally cant afford right now, and he complains and doesnt wanna do anything when he gets home from work. I feel like I shouldnt have to ask to do the regular things around the house but then he doesnt do them. So when I do ask NICELY even though I feel like screaming he gives me an attitude or he does do whatever it is in a crappy way slamming things or whatever. I just cant win. Its unbelieveably frustrating lately. If I say anything it turns into a fight and its just not worth it. I vent to my friends whenever I can, or on LIF just so I dont go crazy keeping it all inside! Its stupid stuff but drives me absolutely insane!

Re: Ladies on Bedrest
I would be very upset with DH if he did this - I think you're totally justified in being upset. I get that he needs stress-relief but so do you and I'm sure you could use some support and some company at least on the one day he could be home with you. I would def be upset. Bedrest is a word I'm very afraid of - I spent Friday night in L&D and was concerned that my OB might decide to put me on bedrest and I was terrified. 8 hours in triage was boring enough - I can't even imagine. I hope at your least your friends and family are visiting regularly!! Good luck to you!!
