Moms of 2 or more reusing baby items...

are you totally having deja vu from DC1? Everytime I put Colin in the swing and here the music I have flashbacks of Ryan, how much we depended on the swing with him , I honestly can feel my emotions from Ryan - the fear that I wasn't doing it right, just my "first time parent" lack of confidence...

It's really quite amazing, b/c as challenging as 2 under 2 is, I honestly feel like I have a better hang of this than I did when I first brought Ryan home. I remember everytime we did something with Ryan (first weeks of nursing, first bath) DH and I would repeat to Ryan "don't worry, mommy & daddy will get better at this" LOL

A little confidence goes a long way... but I see Ryan then, I feel like I can smell him as a NB, and look at him now -my big boy who is trying to figure this all out but slowly, but surely, learning to love his little brother - makes me a little sad

Yesterday I went to wash my hands - just 3 ft away from the boys, and Colin started crying in the swing. I found Ryan petting Colin, "nice, nice - you OK Colin?" Then he got a little rough and I had to break it up - ha! But good intentions...

i just got a little teary eyed. Dh will most likely be ttc in the summer my dd will be about a year old by then. and this morning at 3am when she was happily up and playing like a mad woman in her jump-a-roo i was video taping it to document these crazy nights. and i saw the video of me slamming the door in DHs face while we were ont he way to the hospital to have her then her first day home she was so tiny and it made me cry. i cannot even begin to imagine how i will react when its time for #2 to come home and use all of abbys things. i was such amess and nervous nelly for the first month (even now) because im going into this Blind!

That happens with me all the time with my boys (my DD is in the middle), I guess mostly since at this point, it's clothes that are handed down so the flashbacks are boy-related. At the beginning of school this year, my DS #2 was wearing an item of clothing that belonged to my DS #1 and I started crying. I had a feeling of knots in my stomach of helplessness over the time that passed so fast.
