Laundry Room Flooring
What type of flooring do you have or would you do?
I was trying to make a poll but hit return before I finished.
Porcelain Slate Ceramic linoleum tiles
Its a small space but not sure what to pick and I have to choose this weekend - Thanks!

Re: Laundry Room Flooring
this is a great question. i am almost inclined to say lineoleum.. just for the sheer fact of, if the washer leaks, it's soo easy to get to the bottom floor.
tiles, is a major construcion project, linoleum warps with dampness (from what i read) hard wood, forget about the abuse you'd do to it.
i don't know, i think i'd go the cheapest way out for the laundry room. do like Camacho.. add color on the walls, do FUN in there.. floor.. eh, who cares?

Re: Laundry Room Flooring
oh we are installing a drain into a reserve into the basement so if it does leak it goes there. I never knew of doing this but my bil says he is installing them a lot with laundry rooms.

Re: Laundry Room Flooring
We just redid our floors a few months ago with porcelain tiles, we already had a "situation" with our washer, and the floors (thank heavens) were fine !

Re: Laundry Room Flooring
I just have linoleum in mine... A cute pattern one that looks like tile... I didn't want to put anything expensive down in the event of a leak. And... it's the laundry room! LOL!

Re: Laundry Room Flooring
I think we are going to do slate or tile. Easy to clean and last for years. Our laundry room has a door that goes to our backyard and this room is off of our Family Room, so we need it to be durable. I guess we could even use it has a mud room if we wanted. And the reason I say slate is because it's a ruff surface, so it's not that slippery.
And we are also painting in a bold color. It's a nice medium tone turquoise and plays off of the blue/green wall in our Family Room. Most of the other things in the room will be white. Sorry, I'm going on.

Re: Laundry Room Flooring
We are on a slab and will be putting down porcelain tile (which will also go through the kitchen and entryway).
