Pottery Barn delivery..anyone ever get? Long VENT, sorry...
I ordered a cabinet FINALLY and when they called to schedule a delivery, I said, no less than 3 times that on that day, I could not be home before 3...common sense question..would you give me a 1-3 window?
So..offense number 1...
then...the guy comes at like 2:00..I asked him that if he had other deliveries nearby, could he come back? He didn't speak enough English to let me know..the dispatch was AWFUL and NO ONE will answer WHY they even gave me this window if they have delivery times until 6 PM!!! ARGH....I am SO ANGRY I am almost crying..thanks for letting me vent..anyone else have this??? I mean, I cannot take a day off of work to get a CABINET...

its frustrating but I think they schedule from the warehouse on out so they arent back and forth all over the island. It makes sense from a companies logistics standpoint.

I understand that, but if someone tells you they won't be there, isn't it logistically better to only have to make one trip? Well, after much chatting, they are coming tomorrow morning...to be continued...

uhoh, im currently waiting on a delivery from Pottery Barn home delivery, window is 12-2 ... we shall seee
ets - we were originally scheduled for yesterday 12-2 but we were working. they couldnt change the time yesterday so moved it to today. did you try to change the delivery day?
their route is already set for a particular day, they cant really move things around as they deliver closest to the warehouse and move out. they can only reschedule for a different day

When I tried to have them change the day, it was in some ridiculous timeline...at any rate, it was delivered this morning but the door on the cabinet is loose on the tracks so here we go again with scheduling the furniture repair person to come and look at it before I load it up and find that the door's not good...hope your furniture is great!

I am glad you were able to get your cabinet delivered. I hope scheduling the repair goes better.
I have never had much success being assigned a delivery window of less then 4 hours for anything and expect to take time off of work for weekday service or deliveries.
