window treatments
i have 5 tall windows in the great room/dining room, open layout i want to do sheer panels for a hint of privacy when needed but they will be open mostly to let all the light in
2 windows face the front and are only 4 inches apart for this i was thinking one rod across both but i am not sure if i want 2 or 3 or 4 panels here......any suggestion????
1 side window looks to neighbors and only has a shade in it for privacy i want to put 2 panels here
and 2 windows face the backyard and they are 20 inches apart for this i am not sure if i should do 1 rod across both windows or 2 separate rods and then how many panels here, 2 or 3 or 4......any suggestions here???
i have pictures on my phone and i will try to find a way to get them here but i am very challenged with posting pictures
edit.....pictures in windows album

Re: window treatments
For these windows I would do three panels, so when you have them open (one rod), I would push one to the left, one to the right and leave one in the middle.
For these windows you can also do one large rod, but they cost more. Are you leaving the cabinet in front of the windows? If you are than maybe just do one panel on each side. Meaning one all the way to the left of the left window and one panel all the way to the right on the right window. I hope that makes sense. But if you are looking for fullness in the panels, than I would put 4 panels, two for each window.
Two panels are perfect here.
Nice rooms.

Re: window treatments
I would do #1 Shaded Window: 1 rod with 2 Sheer panels #2 Two Windows Close together: either a. 1 rod with 2 sheer panels (one on the left side of the left window, one on the right side of the right window) b. 1 rod with three sheers (one on the left, one in the middle to hide the 4" space, one on the right c. 1 rod with 4 sheer panels to cover all windows - can gather two in the center or two on either side when you want them open #3 Two Windows farther apart: 2 rods, 2 sheer panels each

unfortunately for space the cabinet does need to stay there so the look is just off to me and i cant decide if....
1 long rod with a panel at each end would tie the look together more
or if i need that plus panels behind the cabinet to complete the look
or if 2 rods and 2 panels each would finish off each window the best...i am afraid 2 rods would look "choppy" above the cabinet........
but thanks for your input so far its definitely helping me that i am on the right path

Maybe the one long rod and four panels for those two windows. Maybe it would help let the cabinet blend into the curtains. If you have two panels behind the cabinet and than one panel on each left and right outer sides. It might just balance the whole wall out. GL with your decision.
