I just got back from Home Goods - UPDATED with Pics

OMG they have such great stuff for Christmas decor. I'll take pics tonight of the stuff I bought and post it.

They also have these great big cork boards or chalk boards in the "office" section. They are probably about 4ft tall by 2ft wide. They are framed. Gorgeous. Some are red, some are green and I think they had regular wood ones also. Sorry I didn't look at the price, but they were really nice.

ETA: OK, I went to the Port Washington one at Lunch time, the Merrick one after work and I even stopped at Target. I guess I'm excited about Christmas this year.

Most of the stuff I bought is for the Family Room. I'm going for Turquiose and Silver to keep it light and bright in the room still.

My husband just told me he better not see a lot of purchases for holiday items because I already have an ungodly amount. What the heck does he think I'm doing when I tell him I'm going to Home Goods every week!?!?


My favorite locations are: Port Jeff (on Rt 347), Stony Brook (on Rt 347) and Commack (Crooked Hill Rd.)




ETA: I purchased some of the framed cork boards for my kitchen ad DD's room! I don't know what the 4' ones are like, but I wish the actual cork was thicker on mine.

I just came from the Commack store. They had the cork boards and I wanted one so badly. Alas, they were $49.99, a bit too much for me to spend on something like that.

uh oh.. do i dare ask where about port washington?? i have only been to the one in rockville centre. is it far from Main Street?

do you happen to remember if they had Christmas Wine Glasses? i just got back from Pier 1 & they were about $10 bucks each. i''m thinking of going this weekend.

can't wait to see your pics! i'll be stalking the board tonight yes i know i have issues !

i'm kind of psyched & nervous since we are probably having Christmas dinner in our new house

I have been away on business for about 5 weeks coming home on the weekends and going to TJ, Marshalls or Homegoods after a long day is my way of unwinding!!

I'm also now into Hobby Lobby too, but they are harder to find.

The ones in Kansas aren't bad!!
I have been so careful to do any damage!!

They also have reindeer at Home Goods, but some of them were way to big, but nice. The reindeer where $9.99 and $12.99 at Target. I couldn't resist buying them.
