This is stupid I know, but I hate it anyways...
I have an appt w/my OB this afternoon
I have to bring DD w/me....and its RIGHT around the time for her to eat
DD is bottle fed....and I feel like everyone in the waiting room will be judging me 
Someone please tell me to just get over it.

ok, sorry, very confused. Why on earth would anybody be judging you in a doctor's office (especially an OB where they see TONS of babies).
I would imagine you would get more smiles than judges

im so shocked you posted this, because when i was nursing..i asked if it would be ok if i fed dd in the waiting room, and they were almost adamant i didnt, and i couldnt believe it!!
THEN, when i did it anyway (wearing a cover of course) EVERYONE was staring at me as they walked in..
I guess we all have our own insecurities..
ya know what i learned?
Dont ever feel judged by the kind of mother you are, unless theres something you want to change about what youre doing..
I will NEVER let anyone MAKE me feel like im not doing "the right thing" according to THEM.

I don't think this is anything for you to be worried about. If someone is judging you then oh well.
Don't worry about what other people may be thinking.
HAHA though this reminds me of when my DC were 2.5 months old and I was at the gyno to have an IUD put in - I had to wait so long and they had to eat, I BF DS before the Dr. came in, but I had to BF DD while he was putting the IUD in.
Sorry for the tangent, lol.

Well I've gotten "the look" before from people that I know when they've found out I'm bottle feeding instead of breastfeeding (even though they don't know how hard I tried)
I hate that. And like some of the rest of you said, I have to get better at not allowing others to make me feel bad about my mothering choices.

I don't think anyone would be judging. Most people there probably know that
a) every situation is different breastfeeding doesn't work for everyone
b) who knows what could be in the bottle, it could have been pumped breastmilk for all they know!
c)most prob won't even notice. I've found alot of times when I think everyone is noticing something I'm doing in public, its really all in my head lol

I think I understand where you are coming from, but I think it is totally self-imposed guilt about "failing at breastfeeding".
It is TOTALLY not what people think. I think for me, I felt the same way because I was disappointed with myself.
Trust me, no one is judging you!!
Don't be so hard on yourself!! I know I was and I regret the downward spiral I put myself in.

I have learned that people will judge you no matter what. If you are breastfeeding they look, and if you are bottlefeeding they look.
Just do what is best for your baby, and don't worry about what others think.

as a bottle feeding mommy I've fed my son is numerous places (from doc's offices to the vet to even church). I don't think people are judging you at all. And 9 out of 10 times I can ooh and ahh when people see my baby.
Don't be too rough on yourself. Trust me, nobody is judging you.

no one is judging you and if they are too bad for them. i actually feel quite envious of formula feeding moms b/c although i made the choice to BF it is a total PITA most times and i can't or won't do it in public. i am totally clueless about formula etc. and i wish i wasn't. i think it would make my life so much easier if i could just find a formula i know would agree with DS before i go back to work!

People are sometimes judgemental and rude. However, I think what you are feeling is more your own guilt related to not breastfeeding. It is totally normal because there is so much emphasis placed on breastfeeding in our current society.
Never let anyone make you feel bad for the decisions you make for your family. Only you know what is right in regards to issues such as breast vs bottle.

this is what I was going to say, b/c I feel the same way 
it's you judging you. and my little piece of chocolate heaven...try not to do that to yourself. you tried. I am trying.
sometimes it really doesn't work no matter what you do. and as I tell you that, I hope *I* hear me. I know how disappointing it is.
anyone that looks down on you for FEEDING your child can suck it. both teets.

actually when I took my DS for my 6 week, I ws bottle feeding. this older lady that worked in the office asked me if I was BF. I told her only pumping sometimes bc he didn't latch. she looked at my DS and said awww you are not breastfed you poor baby! I couldn't believe it. I didn't say anything, but at first I thought it was funny that she said it, then I felt like crap after 
then the nurse asked me if I FF, I said yes, and she had to SNEAK me a sample!!! SNEAK bc she said they like for the moms to BF!!!!

I've found the total opposite to be true. I've BF both children and found in general society/the public is MUCH more open to bottle feeding than BF- even at the OBs office.

DD is EBF and sometimes when I know i'm going out for a while i'll pump and bring a bottle of breastmilk. I know people think it's formula and i've been asked if it was several times (even by family - who immediately thought I gave up BFing when they saw the bottle).
Don't worry about it. People are going to judge no matter what, if it's not one thing it's another.

I also don't think anyone would judge you because you are bottle feeding.
Personally I would feel more self conscious if I were actually breastfeeding in public. I breastfed DS for 7m but whenever we were out, he was still bottle fed with my pumped milk. I don't think anyone would notice or care if you were formula bottle feeding or breastmilk bottle feeding. Babies drink milk out of bottles!
