Anyone have copper pots and pans?
Are they a huge pain in the butt in terms of keeping clean / scratch-free? I want to buy a new set of pots and pans and copper would look great in our kitchen, but we wouldn't necessarily have them on display...more like in a cabinet. My Mom says unless we have them on display, they are pointless. thoughts?

Re: Anyone have copper pots and pans?
my mother swore by them and they lasted forever! after awhile though, they shiny copper look tends to dissapear; shes had hers for over 25 years though i think
i also believe they can cook food a bit faster, as copper is a good conductor for heat (i may be wrong, but i was told this)
all in all...they always look so pretty hanging in kitchens but if they are not on display, maybe think it over .
HTH!
