Need Quick Help Re: Bday Gift for Brother

Yikes, nothing like being a last minute Nelly! I am off to my brother's house tonight for his Bday Dinner (msyelf, DH and SK's) and I still haven't gotten him a gift.

I could give you a thousand excuses why...it's been a busy week, but I feel terrible! I can't show up with nothing ~ any ideas??

He is 39, a Police Officer and has his own Construction Business. My mom was saying a gift card to Lowe's but that seems so impersonal and who wants to get a GC to Lowe's for their bday, not fun!!

Any suggestion's ladies on something I can pick up on my way over??

I like the Lowes gift card idea. I'd be thrilled if someone gave me that..I find I always need something there. It might not be glamorous, but its practical. And easy, for last minute gift.

A bottle of good liquor? Like JD Single Barrel or Gentlemen's Jack. Or whatever his drink preference is?

Thank you ladies!! Lowe's GC is def a great gift, just that he's a contractor so I wanted to get him something a little different.

Maybe I'll go with the GC and a nice bottle on the side. That's a great idea.

Is he a Yankee fan? I'm sure the Championship gear is already in all the sports stores.

GC for a nice dinner out somewhere..

Edit.. We always love getting restaurant GC's because we never go out to dinner otherwise (saving $$)
