Cranky 15 month old

DD has been very moody since she has become more independent. She litearally has countless tantrums a day. She seems to always want to be entertained, and if she is not outside or we are doing some very active she is usually in a "bad mood". Please tell me this is just a phase and that she won't be a frustrated, moody toddler?? Chat Icon

Re: Cranky 15 month old

My son is about 2 months older and he was the same. Part of it is simply testing the boundaries and some was contributed to those pesky one year molars. Once those broke through, he was a happier little man. He is still tempramental but better. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Cranky 15 month old

Jacen has been like that the last couple of days. I checked his mouth yesterday and his molar was bright red. Two of the edges had already poke through so i imagine that's coming in and why he's so clingy/whiny, etc. Yesterday you could barely get 5 minutes to yourself without him around your legs. He constantly wanted to be held or entertained and was driving me up the wall. Chat Icon Chat Icon

As for the tantrums, she's testing you. Just remain consistent or try to redirect her attention. Chat Icon

I heard "I WANT IT" about 1,000,000,000,000 on the way home yesterday. He wouldn't tell me what he wanted just that he wanted IT.

I think its a little independence too. Sometimes, he says he wants it. When I tell him no, he says, Want it please.
