Does anyone have a good carpet guy in Nassau?
My friend gave me her guy who was supposed to be great and now I've left him two messages that went unreturned.
Does anyone have someone good? I only need 2 brs worth!

We very recently used Armando Flores (516-782-3865) to do our 3 bedrooms, hallway, and stairs. We were really happy with him -- very polite, conscientious, and gave us a great price (installation labor alone is more expensive than, say, Home Depot or Lowes, but he doesn't inflate the padding cost, plus I like the peace of mind of having control over the contractor I choose vs. being at the mercy of Lowes/HD's sub-contracting process). He uses really good padding and extra wide tack strips. You can either use his supplier to choose a carpet, or you can get the carpet from anywhere else -- we got it from Lowes and he picked it up for us. Tell him Nina recommended him. Good luck!

I always use the House of Carpets on Rockaway Avenue in Valley Stream. They have never tried to upsell me; I tell them what I want and they show me carpet in my price range. I would recommend them.

I used Jim Flack (the guy with the hole in his head  ) on Rt 110 in Farmingdale. I had remnants put in three bedrooms so we saved a LOT that way...
The "A" team did the install - fantastic and inexpensive.

we used Carpet Depot in Levittown.. they did our whole house and they were excellent! along with decent prices!
