Living Room
So..this is our temporary/permanent living room I'm working on here and there...thoughts on what to put above the couch?? I am thinking of getting more comfy chairs to put around (not more Ikea chairs, but that one is MIGHTY comfy..)..I want to warm the place up but am on a budget..tia! Image Attachment(s):

Re: Living Room
PS thinking of trying to stain that table and the side one to the left of the couch that's a smaller version of the one you see...

Re: Living Room
For above the couch, I would go with a big painting or a large mirror with sconces on either side.

Re: Living Room
It's funny, but lately, I'm into either groupings or photos..would that be weird? Like...maybe a grouping of vintage looking flower pictures (I saw a ton at Homegoods....know what I'm talking about?)

Re: Living Room
I like your idea for behind the couch. I think it would look really nice. Great choice. I also like the mirror and sconce idea. Really opens a room and bounces light around.
I also think staining the tables a darker color would warm the room up more.
And maybe a nice large plant in the corner near the lamp. Just a thought.
HTH!

Re: Living Room
Thanks...I am going to go to Homegoods and see if I can find what I'm picturing in my head so I can try it out..thanks for understanding what I meant...I think I will def. try and stain the tables but as for the plant..I have a black thumb and a cat, so I don't know that that would work..thanks for the input!!
