For once, I don't have a budget....
because it's a new security system and DH is letting me go buck wild! Seriously though...security is soooo important to me...I've always been cautious and I read true crime novels all the time (not a good genre when DH is out of town). Anyway, DH knows I am psycho about security...I want this place like Fort Knox! We are getting cameras on the peripheral of our house that we can view on our televisions and some other upgrades...it's the one time I can use guilt to make DH agree to the cost! LOL

That is great. My husband works for Slomins and my house is secured in every way possible. It took me forever though to learn how to work everything. LOL.

We did the same exact thing except we had it done the first few days of living here. We used a private security company though, not a big name company. We spent just over 5k on the system, but literally everything is secure. We have some stuff that I asked for with other big name companies that told me "you don't need that". The company we eventually went with didn't blink at a single thing I wanted.
Maybe I went overboard on security but peace of mind is everything.

My DH does security and technology.
When he finishes the outside of our house will have 36 cameras
We only have 5 hooked up right now.
One is a pan tilt zoom
We also have a fingerprint reader at the front door with a camera built in.
When the doorbell rings, the tv automatically goes to the video of the front!
There are so many options its limitless.
And there is no pricetag on being safe!

We have a really good security system with cameras outside our house that we can see on our computer. FM if you want the info.
