Playing music to your belly?
Do you use your ear buds or headphones on your belly? Do you believe what they say about the music having positive effects on brain development?

Yes we do this! I play classical but we also play whatever we like - if I'm at my computer I play whatever is on my iTunes and the speakers are right at my belly. I think the baby likes it!

I've been doing it, I play all kinds of stuff, a little of everything, because you never know what the baby's preferences will be! I have heard though that you shouldn't put headphones or speakers directly up to your belly though, because it will be too loud. Amniotic fluid is a great conductor of sound, so baby can hear whatever you are hearing. I just listen to music and maybe turn up the volume one or two notches. I think 20 weeks is when baby's hearing is developed enough to hear it.
