Re-bath or Bathfitters

Has anyone worked with them? Or know anyone? Was it easy? Expensive?

My mom used Bathfitters over 15 years ago and has not had any problems with it. I think it was much cheaper than a demo job back then, plus she only has one bathroom in her house so we couldn't be without it for a long time. It only took one day.

I would also price out Empire. They did our bathroom and were considerably cheaper than Re-bath or bathfitter.

Re: Re-bath or Bathfitters

we used bathfitter in our apartment. unfortunately we had a problem. after about 2 months my neighbor downstairs had a leak. we called them & they found nothing wrong. then i called maintenance in our complex. they found the problem to be that the fixtures or the washers were installed wrong. they did a rush job since they gurantee the job will be done in one day. we got billed from maintenance & for the work done downstairs. i called bathfitter because i was i was told by the salesperson they had a "life time guarantee" . they said since their plumber found nothing wrong AND that if something goes wrong its usually right away they refused to pay for the billsChat Icon so what the heck is the point of a life time gurantee?!!

i haven't had a problem since. but i really am hesitant to recommend them due to this experience. we paid close to $3k. i financed it for 1 year since it was no interest.

i think Home depot offers the same kind of service. however, i never hear anything about them.

good luck!!

Re-Bath last year ~

did a lot of research before going with them.

Basically Re-Bath uses separate pieces for each wall and ceiling.

Bathfitter is one piece that causes stress in the corners and can, over time, pull away from the wall in addition to making it harder initially to line up upon installation because walls are rarely level.

ETA ~ We were and are very happy with the result and would highly recommend them to anyone. Every one who sees it thinks it's real ceramic tile.

Oh awesome ! It looks great. Did they do the walls and tub? And did they replace the plumbing fixtures? Did it take long? As one of the previous posters said I too have only one fool bath and can not be down long. Would you mind FM me the price that was paid?

Can you post pics? And would you mind sharing how much cheaper? One piece or a few pieces?
