Thank you ideas for RE Agent
We'd like to get our real estate agent a thank you gift for working with us and putting up with us for the past year.
My DH spoke with her pretty much every day for the past several months, and she was really patient with all of his requests, likes and dislikes.
She has shown us countless homes over the past year, and we finally found a home we like and are in contract (it's just a few houses down from her own home!).
Any suggestions for a thank you gift for her?
I don't know if a thank you gift for a RE agent is even customary, but we really like her and want to show our appreciation.

Thats really nice! Maybe a gift certificate for dinner? Or even just a generic visa gift card would be nice
If you really had great service, the best thing that you can do is write a note to her manager at the real estate office- in my old office, we used to get special recognition and bonuses when a client did that- it was really nice

as a RE Agent I would not expect anything
that is my job and my reward is my commission check
the best gift is a refferal IMO esp. in this market
even write a letter to the broker so that the agent is reconzied and they can show it other clients when they are trying to get listing

The amount of commission is her thank you. I agree with Beth that a letter goes much further. That is awesome that you found one you liked so well.

As a Real Estate Agent I too agree that a gift is not necessary, but is a very nice thought. A testimonial letter would be a great "thank you" that will help her to get future business. Also remember to refer her to all those you know who might be looking for a home. As a Real Estate Agent, referals are our life line.
If you still want to get something for her, I have received wine, baked goods, and gift cards to retail stores. Hope that helps.
