How old was DC when they cut thier first tooth?

DS seems to be teething, but I really cant tell for sure. He's 2 1/2 months old and he's been drooling like CRAZY, putting everything in his mouth, pulling at his ears, trying to eat my shoulder and fingers, chewing on the bottle nipple, cranky, and having poop diapers as often as 10 times a day!

All of a sudden it got worse today -- crying all the time like he's in pain, taking a bottle JUST to chew the nipple, wont sleep....

I know most people will say he's too young to cut a tooth. How old was your DC when they got their first?

The SAME thing happened to DD when she was about 8 wks old! The Ped looked at her gums at a visit and saw white-ish marks on them and told us some newborns start teething VERY early but they may not cut a tooth until a few months later. DD just turned 5 months and still has those white marks and a few other but no teeth yet! Just lots of drooling and bottle gumming here also! HTH. I sometimes put her binkies in the freezer and that realy seems to soothe her gums more then teether rings

DD is 3 months old and doing a LOT of the same things, except the poopy diapers. poor thing is drooling up a storm, basically gnawing her hands, etc. I think she is starting to teeth, too.

- cut one tooth at 4 months

#1: cut 2 teeth right after she turned 3 months

#2: cut 2 teeth at 4 1/2 months.

my dd began teething at 2.5 months and got her 1st 2 teeth at 4 months

Ds started teething at 3 months and cut at 9 months... but when they finally cut he got 6 at one time

4 months... and I think lil' sis' is following suit, because she's been teething and drooling up a storm lately.

4 months and he just got his first tooth

but if DC is having that many poopy diapers and tugging on their ears, maybe something else is going on

11 1/2 months.
A lot of the behaviors associated with teething are also developmentally appropriate behaviors for that age - so the baby might not actually be teething yet.
If there is ear tugging, I would suggest a visit to the doctor just in case it's an ear infection.

Kaydyn was doing the same thing at 2 months. She got her 1st two teeth at 9 1/2 months.

He didn't actually cut a took til the day before his 6 month "birthday" but he was drooling like crazy startin at 3 months. He was wearing bibs all the time and the drool was out of control.

For 6 months before she cut a tooth, we swore she was teething- and nothing!

10 months old yesterday and still no teeth. I swore he was teething at 3 months also, but still no teeth.

Every feww weeks I thinkhe is getting his first tooth, he has all the typical symptons but we are still waiting!

My DD was a late teether even though she had the "teething" symptoms for months on end. She cut her first tooth at 11 months.

DD was a huuuge drooler starting at 3 months and didn't get her first tooth until 7.5 months

DD#1: almost 11 months old
DD#2: 5.5 months old we had them poking through her goms

10 months. People were telling me she was teething from 4 months old.. but obviously not.

My son's first tooth popped out at 4 months. He had 8 teeth by the time he was 8 months.
