Appliances

If you have stainless steel appliances, what Brand do you have and are you happy with them?

Also do you know where we can get a really good package deal on electric stainless steel appliances?

We will need a stove, preferrably not smooth top, a over the range microwave, dishwasher with stainless inside, and a Frig.

Thanks,
Scott

Re: Appliances

We have the GE profile appliances (gas stove) I would say PC richards usually has the best prices.

I concur. My parents bought top of the line wolf / fisher/paykel and got the best deal at PCRichards.
make sure you cut out (save) all sales circulars. they will meet and beat competitors prices (at least they used to)...

We have a Delonghi Gas Range - which we love!!!

Dishwasher- GE...which we are not happy with. We had to get a small one to fit a nyc Apt. so it was GE stainless steel 18". It does not clean that well and is very loiud. I have heard good things about Bosch Dishwashers... That is what i would of gotten if they had it in the small version. Also, Fischer Paykel is suppose to be good.

Microwave Oven- GE Profile Spacemaker JVM 1790 with/ convection oven. The GE microwave is great..... i do think it's a waste of money to buy with the Convection oven feature. We never use it.!

We bought all of our appliances from Aj Madison. They beat all of P.C Richards Pricing- i told them what P.C offered and then they beat the price. I think they are in Brooklyn...we never went to their showroom since we are in NYC. We found what we liked at other stores and then called them to beat the price. They deliver all over.

Hope that helps.

Re: Appliances

we got ours from sears during their labor day sale....so far so good....we got kenmore elite - our fridge is counter depth and we got a convection oven and i am happy that we got those upgrades...we also got the kenmore elite front load washer and dryer and i love those too....i was anti kenmore and we were going to get kitchenaid but we were able to save so much more on the kenmore and so far i am very happy with everything we got - plus we were able to put it on a cc for no payments for a year so whatever balance is left we are going to pay off with our tax cred money....

we got all of ours from AJ MAdison. we live in NJ, so we didn't go to their showroom, but they deliver all over--- they definitely had the best prices. we went to sears to pick out the models we wanted and see them in person, and then we ordered them online from AJ Madison. free delivery, but they don't install- i think you can pay extra for that...

we have a Whirlpool Gold Fridge and Stove (electric), and a kitchenaid dishwasher

stove is electric, flat top, with one "super burner" that helps boil water quickly for pasta, etc. so far, we love it!

fridge is a whirlpool gold side by side with water/ice in the door. my favorite part of it is the measured fill so that you can set how much water you want, and it fills up your cup and you don't have to stand there holding the cup (comes in handy while you're cooking or in the morning when you're trying to get to work and doing other stuff...) love it, too... although sometimes i wish we had gotten the french door, for a little bit more room...

dishwasher is kitchenaid- LOVE it!! it has stainless inside, the controls are on top of the door, so you don't see them when the door is closed- looks all sleek and stuff Chat Icon it has a third rack on top for big utenils ( spatulas, serving spoons, ladels)

we have a ge profile bottom freezer fridge and ge cafe dishwasher, range, and microwave (which has a built in hood that we vented to the outside)
http://www.geappliances.com/products/cafe/

i love them! we ended up getting the best prices from appliancesbuyphone.com (free shipping, no tax, i heard about them through this forum) plus got a little extra discount for buying so much at once (we also got ge front loading washer and dryer). plus ge is running a rebate program based on how many qualifying appliances you buy, so we're getting another $300 back, plus i have to remember to apply for lipa discounts for energy star appliances. makes the cost of buying so many appliances a little less painful. =P

ETA: As others have mentioned, the truck that pulled up to deliver the appliances was a PC Richards truck.
