After his first week in daycare...*UPDATED ON BOTTOM*
today was the first day that my son did not cry the whole day! When I left him he was a little weepy, but the teacher just told me that he stopped crying very shortly after and has not cried since... He is sleeping longer every single day and has eaten a lot more today! He is so happy when we pick him up, he starts to jump around and dance and showing us his toys there so I think he likes it there...I want my little monkey to be happy there! Its a nice place with very nice care providers and nice kids and I want him to enjoy and thrive there! Although I feel EXTREMELY guilty for sending him to daycare, I really hope and pray that it will benefit him in the long run.
Thank you for letting me share!
**UPDATE**
So when my husband picked DS up today, the teacher advised him that he was bit He said the two rows of teeth mark were still visible on his skin... I don't know what to think anymore, as if this isn't hard enough already. I understand that these things happen but this is his first week!!!!! What do I do?

Re: After his first week in daycare...
That's great! It should keep getting better. DS is only 4 months and in daycare. I hate it, but have to work. The first week I cried. He really didn't know any better. He's been there for a month now and the teachers said there's a huge difference. He was so quiet the first week and now he really knows his teachers. Gives them a big smile when I drop him off in the mornings.

Awww He's going to do great! I think its so much easier when they're that much younger! I swear this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life! It was just absolutely heartbreaking!

Awwwww I swear this is soooo heartbreaking! I hope they adjust quickly...DS has been going FT all week and he understands that I am leaving him there but that he will also get picked up. He was just so scared...I felt that he was feeling very alone He got attached to a couple of teachers though and I think that has been helping him tremendously. They are very warm and loving and told me that he obviously loves a lot of affection bc that would calm him down. I hope next week will be even better...and I hope that Luca adjusts quickly as well!
ETA: Is it possible for your husband to bring him there for at least a couple of hours during the day? I think it'll be hard for him to go back again after being with you guys for 5 days straight...

well we are both off on Monday and won't be in town but i'll ask him to do that on Tuesday. i think it's a good idea. it's just hard because the day care is 1/2 hour away.

Oh no!!!
And sorry to hijack, but, LB I agree that maybe DH should bring Luca for a bit on Tuesday, even if he just wants to do some errands. Christopher was a wreck after long weekends
