Upside Down Christmas Tree????
I was at Hicks Today, and forget about the fact that they had all their christmas stuff out and trees all decorated But they have trees now that are upside down?????
There is something so unholy about an upside down tree...And i don't mean to be offensive it just caught me so off guard.
It reminded of the movie rosemary's baby where they had an upside down cross over the baby's bassinet. It just didnt seem right.
Anyone have this? or know someone who has this? Maybe offer an explanation
eta: a pic for reference

Re: Upside Down Christmas Tree????
Thank God I read your post Nicole - I was thinking "is she seriously going to get an upside down Christmas tree?"
I guess it's for space - I prefer the wall-mounted ones over the upside down ones.

Re: Upside Down Christmas Tree????
I have never seen them at Hicks before but they were doing those geez maybe as much as 5 years ago back at Bloomingdales and I think Saks used to have one when it was still in Garden City. It isn't a new thing - but honestly I haven't seen them in a few years.

Re: Upside Down Christmas Tree????
As another poster mentioned, they've been around for a while. People always want to do something unique and unusual, and this is certainly one way of doing it.
Plus, have you ever tried putting a bike *under* a normal Christmas tree? Not easy. However, with this, not a problem....

not for me but I love the idea of having all that room under the tree. I always feel like our tree is smashed against the couch in the corner.

I have seen these in the stores, but never in someone's house (yet). I don't like them at all. They look silly to me.

That's actually a benefit. This way, all the decorations would actually hang. With normal trees, they sort of lie on the branch below them, and never quite hang right.
(Even though I may be listing some of the good things about this tree, I am NOT getting one for my own house... )
