product rave - Swiffer Sweeper Vac
so i was looking for a lightweight vacuum (we already have a Dyson) for everyday use. DH picked up the Swiffer Sweeper Vac at BJs, it came with 34 swiffer dry cloths and 2 replacement filters.
so far i LOVE it. it picks up larger particles like small leaves and litter. plus the swiffer dry cloths pick up all the dust and stuff that the vacuum doesn't get. it works better than i thought it would. plus, it's cordless and rechargeable. and for $30 you can't beat the price.
UPDATED review 10/10/09:
so i've had this for over a week now and i love it more than ever. it's great for picking up EVERYTHING - including pea-sized crumbs of food or larger that DS drops, and even cat food! plus although the filter seems small i was able to do my entire house twice before emptying it (although of course for better efficiency it should be emptied more often).
the only thing i don't love it for is cat litter; however, i think that has less to do with the litter itself than the floor in the bathroom where the littler box it.
the tile on the floor is very small, so i think the vacuum can't get all the litter up b/c the floor is kind of uneven - but it picks the litter up perfectly from the wood floor right outside the bathroom.

do you think it could be good for cleaning up litter on the floor?
My cats are litter throwers..should be a freakin olympic sport in my house.

I was thinking the same thing- I would love something I could use daily- with out having to take the vac out

yes, it works for litter around the little box!
now granted if there is a big pile you'll need the regular vacuum. but our cat tracks littler EVERYWHERE in the bathroom and the bedroom. this takes care of it very well! you have to run the vac a little more slowly than with a large vacuum to make sure you get everything but that's it.
