Can you tell me on average how much your LIPA bill is every month?

We just bought a house and have gotten 2 bills so far both over $250. I think that is high, especially since we are not home all day but I could be wrong, maybe that is average.

Also, my mom mentioned a budget plan that LIPA does. Anybody do that or have info on it?

on average, ours is about $120 a month... but during the winter its around $90-$100 a month -- we are crazy about turning off lights lol

Ours is about $170. I think it also depends on the size of the house. How you are about turning off lights and overusing the dryer seems to increase the bill too. In the summer its always more b/c fans and AC

we do the budget billing... it will flucuate a little every few months, to try to keep you as close to a $0 balance at the end of the year as possible. right now our bill is around $110 a month

Sounds high to me. I think ours is between $90 and $120. We don't have AC, are very good about turning off lights, and it's just the two of us so we don't have a lot of laundry. Depends on what you're using that draws power too - do you leave exterior lights on all night? Do you use the dishwasher every night?

Ours was $200 this month. I almost because it was half that amount last month. We're so good about turning off lights and conserving but we had company for two weeks this month and they were, well, not so good about it, I guess!!!

Ours is the same as yours But after reading the other responses I am wondering why ours is soooo much more than some other peoples
I do the budget planning so it is the same each month.

Ours is about $180/month We're both really good about shutting off lights but I'm home all day so there's one light always on and we have our computers going 24/7 so I guess it all adds up....

I was paying a crazy amount to national grid a couple months ago. they told me because I was on the previous owners pay plan, so i took myself off, now I get a credit every month cause I overpaid so much.

Mine is about 100 per month - we don't do balanced billing.

i think we're around $126 a month - balanced billing

i remember our bill fluctuated so much month to month when we first moved in. They were giving us estimated bills based upon the previous owners usage so we kept getting credits because we weren't using as much as they did.
The balanced billing was a much easier way and we don't get hit with huge bills in the winter

I am on the budget plan and pay $190 a month. When I wasn't on a budget plan, I had bills that were $300-$400 in the summer.

I have an electric stove and an electric dryer, plus the AC and a pool (filter runs daily). I also run my dishwasher every night

It's hard to go by what other people pay because it is based on so many different variables.

last bill was 350 for 2 months, but we have a pool, so the filter runs 6 hours a day everyday

Maybe I am getting ripped off mine was $414 for two months. We have electric everything just not heat. That is oil and our home is a 2500 sq feet???!!!

$100 on average- but this is with A/C running at night- 5000 BTUs

Our new budget is $110/month down from $120/month last year.
We have a 3 bedroom/1 bath ranch.

Mine is around $120/ month but we have a small house. Our dryer is gas so that goes toward National Grid. We do have electric baseboard in the attic but we never turn them on.
