So, I got bangs

and Im not loving them. I wanted to get them , but like a side swept bang.
A change..u know?

My friend who cuts hair did it for me and I think I didnt explain it cause she went a little short.
She made me look great then its my turn to do them and not so great.
I think its shock treatment too.

Im not taking a pics cause I dont like them and feel its not me at all! It changed my look..a lot.

Luckily my hair grows quickly and these will grow fast.

So Im thining lots of clips to clip back and I even think thats a prob cause they are short.

that happened to me the first tiem I got side swept bangs. The lady cut them too short and a little off. But n like two weeks they grew a little and started to look hott. Trust me, i think they will probably look good in no time.

ahh that sucks, i got them too but now there are too long, so i will go back and have them trimmed.

Oh Deb, don't be too hard on yourself. I'm sure it looks great. It sucks when you have them done at the salon and it looks awesome and then you get home and you can't do it the same.

Give it a few weeks to grow in. As it gets a little bit longer, it might look great!

Luckily, bangs grow really fast. My problem with ANY type of bang is that I HAVE to blow them with a round brush and use spray because I get terrible cowlicks...I'm really a wash and go type, but the bangs do look nice when they are blown out. I got full bangs right before I found out I was pregnant and then the morning sickness kicked in. It was all about clips from that point forward...

i have a love/hate relationship w/ my bangs.

when i get them cut i LOVE them but after a week or 2 i HATE them. than they grow to an akward length and i decide i miss them and have bangs cut again....and repeat and repeat.

maybe your feelings will change as you learn to play & style it how you like it.

Deb..I saw you yesterday and I thought you looked great. I agree, it's not the normal you,,but that is why you got them..for a change! You can rock the bangs..trust me! Give it a few weeks...they will be the way you want.

My guess is that they look great you're just not used to them at all.

Bangs are a drastic change, I think you'll get used to them and like them I'm sure they look great

Can you kind of sweep them to the side and pin them?
That is what I do when I want to go bang-less
And mine are not super short but they aren't long either...

Been there.. Done that. Recently too.

I waited so long for my hair to get to the length it was. All I wanted was a thin side swept bang & a few layers. My stylist chopped my hair to shreds & I hate HATE HATE my bang. It looks terrible. I've been pinning this chopped up garbage back since I got the cut last week. I am infuriated.

I feel bad for my DH because all I have been doing was complaining. As a female, it is traumatizing to get a bad cut. I know its not the worst problem in the world, but a bad cut can do tons of self esteem damage. I hate my hair, and only a female who has btdt could understand. So Deb, I cant offer advice, but I can tell you that I can totally relate, & I understand how you feel.

I guess the only thing we can do is just wait for it to grow out.

I am without a doubt changing stylists. I'm done with her.

I just got bangs too and am having a hard time getting used to them. I actually didn't like they way she did them at the salon with the round brush, so when I got home, I used the flat iron. They looked longer and gave me more of the look I wanted!

Same thing happened to me.

Once they grew out a little, I learned to like them, but won't be cutting them again for awhille.

I would take a bobby pin and pin them underneath my side hair (if that makes sense. It worked for me for a long time (until they grew in). Headbands and Coach thin bandanas also helped :)

I'm sure it's not as bad as you say!!!!!!!

I was sort of going for the same thing back in the spring & she practically gave me a mullet with all the short layers she put on top. In the beginning I used bobby pins to pull them back & they were short, so the bobby pin was not far from my hair line.

When they grew a little & I could wear it down, people kept asking if I got a hair cut!

I was thinking about going with a thick side bang tomorrow (for something different) but now reading this post is making me nervous.
