Pizza Places and Chinese Food Restaraunts in Lindenhurst
My FH and I just moved to Lindenhurst and we are looking for the good places to go to eat....so my fellow Lindenhurst folks, where do you guys go for pizza and Chinese Food? What are the other good restaurants in Lindy? Thanks soooo much!

We like Tang's on Sunrise Hwy and Delaware Ave. For a diner, we like the Lindenhurst Diner on Montauk Hwy and Delaware Ave. Pizza I don't know though. I also heard The Lantern (I think that's the name) on N. Wellwood Ave. just north of the LIRR is good for German food (haven't eaten there yet though).

We get chinese at either Mushroom in the SOuth Bay shopping center or Fortune Cookie on Montauk Hwy.
For pizza we go to the place int he South Bay shopping Center or Stellas on S Wellwood.
We have go to Wellwood Grill (south of Montauk Hwy) and go to restaurants in Babylon Village.
Also for diners we really downt like Lindenhurst Diner we go to Lindcrest Diner (corner of S Broadway and Montauk Hwy)

DH and I just moved here in February and so far we have not found a good Chinese or Pizza Place we like. Imperial i have to say has pretty good pizza but it tastes nothing like Paul's pizza in West Islip. That was our favorite place for pizza. I am not a fan of Stella's. The sauce tasted too salty for me. I will try some of the others you ladies listed.

Foo Lu Chinese and Gino's for Italian both on Wellwood.
If you like Sushi... dh and I go to Kotobuki or delivered from Greenleaf in Massapequa.
The German place is REALLY good with the bakery a few doors down by the same owners.
The diner is really good that every else posted.
and for mani's and pedi's..... Fancy Nails right across the street from the gym on Wellwood right near the RR tracks.

Hunan Kitchen on 2nd and Montauk is good. Lindencrest diner is the diner we prefer. Stella's on Wellwood is pretty good too. We also always go out to dinner in Babylon as PP said.

Diner- Lindencrest (on Montauk Hwy and Broadway) HANDS DOWN.
Pizza: Alitalia in the Great South Bay Shopping Center or Imperial up by the outback.

i am a german food connosuear. (i can't spell that.... how about i am a german food fan...)
the village lantern has good beer and appetizers, but the rest of their food is "eh."
all their gravies are the same
Pizza - by far - Dominicks on 35th st. they deliver and have amazing meatballs too.
chinese food - DH liked Doc lee lau. I am not a big fan of chinese food, i eat it but wouldn't know good from bad.

Pizza we like Imperial and Alitalia
Chinese - Doc Lee Lau or Mushroom (this one is good for Sushi too)
Love Southside for seafood (it's definitely not fancy but it's awesome. The seafood market is really fresh also).
South Bay Diner on Sunrise is the best I have ever gone to anywhere. It has a much nicer atmosphere than a regular diner does.
Fanelli's is pretty good for Italian (it's inexpensive and 2 for 1 martinis)
Spoon is very cute for coffee, wraps, salads.
If I want a nice dinner, we usually go into Babylon, although I do want to try the Village Lantern

And I forgot to mention Bozena Polish-European Restaurant, 485 W. Montauk Hwy. (bet. 7th & 8th Sts.) Lindenhurst, NY 11757 Cheap food and good.
And new restaurant that just opened but I am not sure about yet (haven't tried) is right across from chateau la mer near the dock. Do not know the name.

Spoon is good for Coffee/Snacks/Lunch some good live entertainment.
Chicken Tonight is great for wings and sunday football stuff.

Imperial!!! Love Imperial. Gino's on Wellwood is good too.
Spoon is one of our favorite spots..
We frequent the South Bay Diner - awesome french toast! (And they do takeout.)
Am surprised that no one mentioned Kirin China on Sunrise. Yum!!! Best dumplings ever!!!
Teriyaki Express on Sunrise is reallly good takeout Japanese and the place is spotless!!!!

Pizza and Italian food - deffinately Mama's on Montauk Hwy. in Copaigue (south side)  delish, coming from an Italian household  
we just moved into Massapequa last year but near the amityville boarder so we are experimenting in the area aswell!

This is DH's favorite spot when he feels like he wants to have a "fat night". They have really good mozzarella sticks, wings, chicken and clam strips too. However, if you or someone you know who will be eating with you is on the brink of a heart attack, I would not recommend going there. LOL

mamas is always packed when we pass by. delish food though. we have been once since we are the lindy/west babylon border it is sort of far. is chicken night for take out too?
after this thread we went back to alitalia in the great south bay shopping center and the pizza tasted so good. we tried another place on montauk highway further down and it was gross.
also we love the lindencrest dinner.
also we tried pollo comparo or however it is spelled on sunrise in lindy or copaigue and that was good.

Is that the one right across from Burns and next to Cold Stone? We frequent it. Also love Phils in the Friday's shopping center where BRU is. They have great Italian food and pizza! (on sunrise)
