Re: capes?

Do you have a bathroom up there? We didn't so we choose to do ours on the main floor. If we had one up there we may have gone for upstairs room for master...since it is HUGE!

Re: capes?

yes, there's a full bathroom upstairs and down. since we don't have kids (yet) we're thinking of putting the master upstairs...that's why i thought the guest bedroom might be best up there too.

Re: capes?

We have two bedrooms upstairs....a master and a spare room.

the two bedrooms downstairs were converted before we purchased the house.

the one next to the kitchen was opened and is now the dinningroom and the one off the livingroom is now opened and makes a larger room.

Re: capes?

We have a Levitt cape and we have our master and our nursery upstairs. We use one of the downstairs bedrooms as a laundry room and the other is our office. We have a bathroom upstairs that attaches directly to our bedroom so it made sense for us to be up there.

Re: capes?

main floor master and big den we converted into a playroom/nursery. since there is a bathroom upstairs its dd's room and the spare is an office. we did it kind of backwards but its working out and plan is both kids upstairs in the future.

Re: capes?

We have a rear dormered cape. And we have the master upstairs and the kids are upstairs with us. We didn't want to be on different floors than the kids just yet. The main floor we have a play room in the smaller room and a den in the master bedroom.

I do have a living room and a basement. Right now our basement has exercise equipment and is used for storage since we don't have a garage.

I made it a den so that we have more hang out room for friends and so that I can keep my living room neat looking and more casual furniture go in the two back rooms. It was originally a guest bedroom but I found it to be a waste of space, so there is a futon in there now. Eventually I would like to take the 2 bedrooms and open them to one big living room, and have the current living room become a dining room since we don't have one.

We have a 4 BR cape, 2 up, 2 down. But we made the master bedroom downstairs our TV/ living room and moved the master upstairs. Our guest room is upstairs across from our bedroom. The other bedroom downstairs is our gym for now.

And yes, we have a basement but we only use it for storage, not entertaining.
