Those who don't use the Bundle Me...

what do you use to keep DC warm in the winter?

It seems like it would be hard to strap DD into the infant seat in a bunting.

Thanks!

I used the Kiddopotamus Posh Pouch which fits over the infant seat with elastic. LOVED it! Put a blankets tucked around her inside the pouch and my DD was warm as can be all winter long. Here is the link:

I loved this too. DS was a December baby. At the beginning, I'd put a blanket in there too, but he got too hot. The Posh Pouch really kept him warm. They also have a lightweight version for the fall/spring.

I used the Bundle Me, but I'm unsure what to do this winter. DD will be almost a year old, and I no longer take her in and out of the car still strapped into her car seat as it's HEAVY. So what do you do when you get to your destination (i.e. resturant, store, etc) and you don't have a jacket on them?

I have the item that goes over the car seat. As far as when they are in the conv. car seat - I have a non puffy jacket that safety Chris said is okay

You put the jacket on themChat Icon

I walk DS to the car (warmed up) in his jacket, take it off, put him in the seat (put a blanket on if I have to) and then put it back on when I get to the destination!

To the OP, you shouldn't put the car seat straps in or around a bunting, anything puffy is a no no in hte carseatChat Icon

That's what I kinda figured... my DD will LOVE that...Chat Icon she's SO impatient when taking her out of her seat! Plus she's SO wiggly when I get her out, on REALLY cold days I'm going to be concerned she's going to get too cold before I can get her jacket on and zipped up. Even now with the coolish weather, when I put her hoodie sweatshirt on it's a PRODUCTION

I can't remember whether it was on here or somewhere else, but I read about the car seat poncho which is supposed to be safe for the car seat and keeps kids warm.
