You can get a snake wire thing at home depot- if its hair or something like that it works good
Otherwise I think Pequa, also sold at Home Depot, is environmentally friendly

I also heard you can use Soda. I have tried using a 2 liter of Coke.....my drain is still slow but better than before.

I found this one this site. Link Lots of other good Green cleaning tips too.
DRAINS/DISPOSALS: Uncloggers: 1. Flexible metal snake, a plunger, salt
2. Pour 1 c. of Baking Soda down the drain followed by 1 c. of hot Vinegar. Wait 5 min before flushing the drain with 2 quarts of hot Water. Repeat.
3. 1 C. of Baking Soda and 1/2 c. of salt down the drain. Let this mixture sit in the drain for several hours, overnight is best, before flushing the drain with 2 cups of boiling Water.

Re: Any "green" ways to unclog a drain?
I was going to look for that myself because of my bathtub. It was draining slow.
I popped the grate covering the drain up with a screwdriver and found that the majority of the clog was right there. It was disgusting, I cleaned it out wearing gloves, but it solved the problem.
Besides doing a google search for other possible alternatives and the advice here, I'm afraid I don't have any other advice for you. Good luck!
