What time does your 2 year old go to sleep?

I'm trying to get an idea of what time other 2 year olds are going to bed. We are having issues with DD going down at night and although she is ready early she won't go down for a LONG time - so I'm wondering what is a normal time. Also do they have to be anywhere in the morning for those that go down early?

I put him in the crib between 7:15-7:30 and it usually takes him a half hour to unwind and fall asleep.

He wakes between 6-6:30

She's in bed between no later than 8:15pm and is fast asleep within 5 minutes usually. Wakes around 6:15, maybe 6:30am.

Not till later 9-9:30...except on days he fails to nap, its 8-8:30.

He started sleeping later, and going to bed later, so we just kinda adjusted to it.

Re: What time does your 2 year old go to sleep?

We start the bedime routine around 8:15 and he's usually in his crib around 8:30-8:45.

Some days he will actually actually lay there for over half an hour before falling asleep. He wakes up at 7:30am.

We have a unique situation.

DS goes to bed after 9.30pm on days when Chris goes to work. There is too much activity going on in our (small) house before that for him to go to bed.

On days when Chris is off, Christopher goes to bed usually between 8-8.30pm.

He has been waking up at 7am, but he still naps 2-3 hours a day. If he didn't, I would proably try to rethink the later bedtime

Re: What time does your 2 year old go to sleep?

AJ goes down to sleep between 9-930 with or without his 2 1/2 hour nap during the day and regardless of what time he naps.

we bring him into his room, sit on his bed with him, read him stories and then leave. he will sometimes play in bed or on the floor but he doesnt walk out of his room.

he is usually up at about 6:30-6:45 on school days and 7 or later on non school days

I usually put Jay in his crib between 8:15-8:30. I have no idea how long it takes him to fall asleep. I close the door and usually go downstairs. He wakes up around 7am.

Between 7:30 and 8 pm. In the summer it was closer to 8 because it was so light out and we tended to go to the park, Raplphs etc in the evening. We are back towards 7:30-7:40 now.

Generally he watches jeopardy with us Chat Icon , then PJs, story, song, bed.

He is usually up between 7 and 7:30 am

Re: What time does your 2 year old go to sleep?

It really depends on how much DS is cooperating with us! Chat Icon

But I would say on average, he is in his crib anywhere between 7:45 and 8:15 most nights.

He is out like a light within minutes, snoring away!

He will wake up anywhere between 6:30 and 7:30 usually.

Bedtime routine begins around 9'ish (reading books, brushing teeth, etc...). Some nights she plays in her bed for 1/2 hour or so before she falls asleep. Some nights less, some nights more.
We wake up by 7:20 in the morning.

Between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. We start getting ready around 7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

I wake him at 6:45 a.m. , but if left to wake on his own, he sleeps until 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.

DD goes down at 8 and sleeps til about 7/7:30

same here.
We start her nighttime routine about 7:45 (bath, pajamas, books) and she's in her crib at 8. We talk about who she's going to play with the next day and then she says "sleep first" and goes to sleep.
During the week, we wake her at 7/7:30. On the weekends, she can sleep as late as 9 if we let her.

Re: What time does your 2 year old go to sleep?

miki is 2.5 ...since we have been home with the baby, she has been going to sleep at 9pm...before then it was at around 8:15-8"30 but I DO notice that when we put her down at 9, she goes right to sleep and sleeps until 8:45am or so

once she goes back to the sitter, we will put her down at 8:15-8:30 since we need to wake her at 7:40am to leave for the sitter Chat Icon

Re: What time does your 2 year old go to sleep?

DS' bedtime has gotten later and later in the summer. He used to be in bed by 7:30-8om the latest and now it is closer to 9.

But, Most of the time DH is not home at night so by 7:30 i am beat and ready for him to go to bed. The last few weeks DH has been getting home 7-8pm most night and plays with DS before bed.

In a few weeks when DH goes back to his crazy schedule I am going to try and get bedtime earlier again.

DD is 3 and goes to sleep at 7:30 - but she has had the same bedtime since around 20 mths. She doesnt have anywhere to be early in the morning, she just functions better with an early bedtime

Re: What time does your 2 year old go to sleep?

See DD is fed, bathed, dressed for bed, and ready for story time by about 830-9, but she won't go down for DH until about 10 to 1015 no matter what he tries- some nights even later. She won't in go w/ the tent, but tries to climb out of the crib when she isn't ready to go down so DH is afraid to leave her alone b/c he worries she will get hurt. I know if I convert her crib she will just run around all night and never go down. She used to wake at 7 - now she will sleep until anywhere from 730-9 (on weekends) we try to wake her at 715 hoping it will get her down easier. She also doesn't want to nap most days. None of this was a problem before DD#2 came. DD#2 goes down easily at 8-830 so it isn't like the baby is keeping her up.
