I wouls go for the bed cover. I think I would go for the alternative cover that was suggested here. My daughter hated her crib & had no greater attachment to a toddler bed, so I may be biased because for me to spend that $$$ would've been a total waste. I think the fell in love with the fact that Thomas was on the bed. I don't think he'll notice that it's not the same bed.

BUT it's a hard decision. 
i agree! but maybe if you could get one of those 20% of coupons to BRU, that would take over $50.00 off the cost of the other one, would that help?

IMO, I wouldn't spend that much a on a toddler sized bed. I would get the wooden bed like you mentioned for $69 and take him to get Thomas sheets and stuff. I am guessing at his age, he might not really remember the bed once he picks his new sheets and blankets!
