Ok, promise not to laugh at my ridiculous question
I was at an arboretum yesterday (early - around11) and the mosquitos were SWARMING (the grass was wet so they were just everywhere!)
I have at least 20 bites - alone - on my hands and arms. My feet, ankles and calves (I was wearing capris) got hit really bad, if not worse than my arms and I'm guessing I have at LEAST 40 bites, if not closer to 50. (No exageration - i'll take a picture if you want )
1st question - and the ridiculous one - is this amount of bites dangerous? AND
Can I take something for this? I dont think a cream or lotion will give me much relief - the itching is actually painful now.
Oh and someone at work asked me if I had the chicken pox If I didnt see those little buggers crawling on me I might have thought there was seriously something wrong with me!

The amount of bites aren't dangerous the problem is if you scratch them and give yourself a skin infection. I think you can take benadryl although it can make you sleepy. Zyrtec can help also but again may make you drowsy.

Re: Ok, promise not to laugh at my ridiculous question
call your doctor.
i had a major thing like this last year - on both of my legs total - i had about 45 bites (no joke). The problem with that many bites is that the stuff that makes you itch is not good for you and having THAT much of it is a problem.
i want to say they gave me a steroid - which they won't give you - but maybe they can give you a cream of something you can use!!!

Re: Ok, promise not to laugh at my ridiculous question
I got bit really bad a couple of weeks ago. I literally had 20 bites on my feet. In the middle of the night I was in agony and I ended up putting a tiny bit of Calomine on my bites because my feet were bleeding and raw from me scratching.
I would call you doc and see what they suggest you do.
