Are the headline actors going to be starring in it? Or the understudies?

We are taking my DD to see Bye Bye Birdie for her 4th birthday next month and we purchased the tickets not realizing that the actual opening night wasn't until the following week. Meanwhile, JOHN STAMOS is the star!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

So, PLEASE...can I expect to see John Stamos?! Chat Icon

yes, it's the headlining actors

there's always the chance there will be an understudy, but the main actors will be in the show.

What she said. A show can change while it is still in previews (choreography, music and lines cut/altered, ect). Once a show has it's official opening it is "set" and no other changes will be made.

ETA: Another tidbit is that while a show is in previews during the day rehearsals are still on going, so the hours are quite long for the actors and creative people involved.

Enjoy the show!

Also - when a show is in previews, it can't be reviewed by a print publication - so your daughter can write her review before the NY Times reviewer writes his! Chat Icon
