Has this ever happened to anyone?
This has to do w/ my fridge. I have the GE Profile French Door/ Bottom Freezer fridge.
Got home from work and the fridge is making a whirring sound. Opened the freezer and there is frost everywhere. I must have left the door slightly cracked while we were at work.
The temps on the display are totally off since I left the door open. The manual says that I have to wait 24 hours for the temps to adjust.
I don't want to clean up the frost yet b/c I'm not helping the temps adjust by opening the door to clean.
Do you clean the frost from the fridge?
All of the food is totally frozen except for some bread & ices - both in the garbage now.

Well the temps went down last night and the noise went away. My mom said to clean the frost later today. Wanted to wait for the freezer to get icy cold.

This has happened to me twice. I didn't know you were supposed to remove the frost . But, I did what you did, threw out the ice cubes that accumlated and got stuck together in the ice machine. It was fine after that. Now, every time I walk by the refrigerator I touch the freezer door to make sure its closed .

This happened to me once. I thought I left the drawer slightly opened. Everything was still frozen solid. I waited till the next morning and all the frost went a way. I have make sure to close the drawer all the way next time. I have 2 drawers in my freezer. If the bottom drawer is too full it gets hung up on the one above.
