HELP with Furniture advise
Hi, my wife and I are trying to find a dining room set. Something not too expensive, nice but not too formal. Also we like lighter colors rather than dark.
We just bought this set at old nostalgia work furniture on jericho on sale in the lighter wood option
http://www.gsfurniture.com/casdininggroup4.html
But then found another set from Tiffany's on rte 110.
The pro's / Con's so far for cancelling our order within the 72 hrs and buying the Tiffany's one is
Pro's
Tiffany's is cheaper Much nicer chairs than the standard carrige back We would get the whole set (table/6 chairs/server /buffet) since the total price is lower
Con's
Worried Tiffany's quality isn't that great since the price seems so low
Table is not pedastel so when you want to extend, you have to move the legs and everything. The other one, you didn't, the leaves stored within the table.
Anyone have experiance with any of these two stores? Would appreciate any advice, we only have 2 more days to cancel our order without penalty.
I couldn't even find the Tiffany one online which again, wondering if that is a bad sign.

Re: HELP with Furniture advise
We bought our DR set from Tiffany. It is their Canadel line of furniture for DR. But that is more expensive than some of their other furniture. We also have our BR set from Tiffany. Two years later we don't have any complaints about their furniture. Good Luck!

Re: HELP with Furniture advise
Hands down I'd go with the pedestal table.
When trying to fit people for a holiday or something some poor sap always gets stuck with the table legs between their legs and then they can't push in the chair or anything. For this reason I would never get a table with legs.

I would have to agree with Jenn. If I had only known this before buying a table with legs and not a pedestal. I haven't had too many complaints about our table, but I can see what the problem is once you try to fit like 10 people around our table. Yes we have a large table.
