Hot rollers

Does anyone use hot rollers and can you recommend yours?

I used to use them way back when and they were the only way to get my hair to hold curl. I want just large ones this time to put some body in my pin-straight hair.

TIA!

Re: Hot rollers

I just bought some affordable conair set from walgreens. It works pretty well! I pretty much only use them for special occassions when I can't get to a salon/am too cheap to go to a salon - I put them in my hair, do my makeup, etc. and take them out 20 minutes later and I have great controlled bouncy curls. But I also have pretty thick and frizzy/curly hair to begin with, so keep that it mind because you said your hair was straight.

Re: Hot rollers

I would love a recommendation for hot/steam rollers too. I had my hair done with them last month and the curls held so well in my pin straight fine hair.

I love the Conair set that I have. I have fine hair w/ no real body. I put these rollers in and it looks like I walked out of the salon. It only takes about 5 minutes too, which is great. They are about $50.00 for the set and also I told my niece and sil about them and they love them too.

I have something similar to this but it is not as nice, I guess I got the cheapy set! I recall paying around $25. But the dials and stuff look the same.

I had another set just like this about 2 years ago, that was much cheaper, but worked the same. My mom bought me this set for Christmas one year and I love them, but the cheaper verison works just as well.

Thanks for the recs! I ended up getting these because they are dual voltage and small. I'd like to take them to Italy in a few weeks.

They work just as well as my old set of rollers that bit the dust a few years ago. The best part is they were $15.99.

The only con is that there are fewer rollers so I need to roll a lot of hair in a few places but it seemed to curl it all fine.

Re: Hot rollers

My hair stylist recommended using these to change up my style from time to time.......

Are they easy to use? Chat Icon I'm not too good at hair stuff, I can't even make a french braid! Chat Icon To flat iron, I basically turn my head upside and run the iron through, so I get the back of my head.........

Are these easy and klutz-proof?

I think they are very easy to use. I'm not good at hair stuff either, and rollers are a lot easier for me than a curling iron.

It may be harder to roll really long hair though. I noticed they have sets with all jumbo rollers now though so that may make it easier.
