How much $ in escrow
How much did you put into escrow when you went to contract?
Was it a random # or a percentage - because I feel like the number they gave us is so random.

I believe it should be like x number of months of taxes and x number of months of homeowner insur. Something like 7 and 2.

we gave a check for 10% since we are putting down 20; we put the rest at closing

This whole things confuses me.
But, we met with our lawyer on Thursday and we had to make a check out for 1/2 of our deposit to the seller's attorney for him to put into escrow.

The whole thing is confusing me too.....our amount is a little less than half of our down payment.
