Re: For those of you that have MOVED your oil tank.........
we didnt have one in the ground we had one in our basement but we got rid of it ourselves. but do you have gas service in the house? you may want to look into converting to gas instead of getting a new tank. we had it in the house so we converted over, was well worth it.
if you dont have gas service in the house, national grid offers rebates and such for converting. my dad did that, but i dont remember how much he got

Re: For those of you that have MOVED your oil tank.........
It was about $1K. ($500 for new tank, $500 for old tank removal and install of new tank). I don't know who we used off the top of my head, it was about 3 years ago. DH said their pone number is on the side of the tank so if you want the info let me know and I can go see. We moved ours from the basement to the back of our garage.

My parents just did this, I believe it was about $500-$600. They emptied and filled the old one and put a new one in the garage.

Re: For those of you that have MOVED your oil tank.........
Is that an inground, or above ground tank? I need to take out an inground tank to put on an addition. I have no idea what the cost will be. Has anyone done this?
