Home Owners Insurance
What is a reasonable replacement value on a home for insurance - what percent of the home or loan?
I'm getting some quotes for 80% of the sale value and others at lower.
TIA!

Re: Home Owners Insurance
You always want your home value at 100% replacement cost this way the extra that they give you gives you a little cushion. If you are at 80% and they give you 20% then you are at exactly 100% but lets say their calculation is off a bit, now you are going to get the exact house rebuilt. Don't settle for 80% spend the money for a little more, it's worth it god forbid something happens
